Holcim is ordering 1,000 battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 vehicles for its transport fleet. The large order ranks among the most extensive heavy-duty e-truck orders and demonstrates the pressure on building materials manufacturers to decarbonize their logistics. According to the manufacturer, the eActros 600 offers a range of up to 500 kilometers and is thus suitable for the typical delivery routes of cement and building materials.
