The Architektenkammer Niedersachsen has launched the call for entries for the 2026 Lower Saxony State Prize for Architecture with a major format change: architects can now submit projects across all categories without thematic restrictions. Previously, the competition specified themes or building types. The state prize, awarded jointly by Lower Saxony's Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport and Construction and the regional chamber of architects, is considered one of the most prestigious architecture awards in northern Germany. Submissions are open to all projects completed in Lower Saxony, regardless of typology or scale.
